Hi there! Today I have a love themed card to share with you, featuring some of my favorite critters from Purple Onion Designs. I love mixing stamps from different POD collections :) It’s so much fun and you can coordinate them for endless possibilities! This one, for example, would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I started working on this card die-cutting a whole bunch of tiny hearts out of red/pink cardstock, using a couple of heart shaped dies from Confetti Creative Cuts by Mama Elephant and Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 5 by My Favorite Things.
I stamped Winston, his little friend (from Critters Stirring rubber stamp set) and the Wagon with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copics.
Once my coloring was done, I started thinking about the background. I ink blended some Twisted Citron Distress Ink directly on my card base and added two stripes of cardstock on it: one stamped with images from Confetti rubber stamp and the other die-cut from ink blended cardstock.
I foam mounted Winston and his wagon on my card base and filled the cart with all the tiny hearts previously die-cut, creating a messy pile. I made some of them pop up using mounting foam.
Finally, I added a little mouse on the back of the wagon, holding a sparkling heart. He’s definitely my favorite! :D
To create the sentiment, I stamped the happy wish from Essential Happy Sentiment Set in two colors using Ruby Red and Coral Berry from Red Cosmos Mini Cube Set by Altenew.
I also added a bit of shimmer to all the tiny hearts using my Wink of Stella brush marker.
