Hello crafty friends! Today I’m back with a love themed card – just in time for Valentine’s Day. This project features Jolly, a super cute snowman from Purple Onion Designs, who was really happy to help me sending Valentine wishes.
To create the background, I die-cut several frames from red/pink cardstock using the Die-namics Single Stitch Line Square Frames by My Favorite Things. Then, I placed all the square frames side by side, creating a geometric pattern and mounted them on my card base. I made some of them pop out using mounting foam in order to get a depth effect.
I also created two shaker elements, using the smallest frames, and filled them with Sparkling Clear Sequins, Silver Hearts Confetti and Marshmallow Seed Beads by Pretty Pink Posh.
Next, I stamped Jolly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copic markers. Once the coloring was complete, I fussy cut the image and placed it in the middle of my composition. It looks like he’s sending big hugs, don’t you think?
To create the sentiment, I die-cut the word “Happy” from a scrap of white glitter foam using the Happy Script Creative Cuts by Mama Elephant. Then, I heat embossed the second part of it in white on a stripe of black cardstock. This sentiment is from Essential Happy Sentiment Set. I must say that I really love how it turned out!
Finally, I added a bunch of sparkling clear sequins here and there to embellish my card.
Thank you so much for stopping by – hope you enjoy today’s project.
Happy crafting!
