The MFT Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit is officially available! YAY! It’s time to shop!
I have two projects to share with you today for the Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit launch celebration.
My first card features the amazing Sugar-Coated Sentiments stamp set along with the Cupcake and Sprinkles Die-namics and the super fun Cupcake Shaker Pouches.
I started to work on this card by die-cutting the cupcake top out of a white card stock panel, using the Cupcake and Sprinkles Die-namics, and adhered it to the Cupcake Shaker Pouch.
I die-cut the cupcake base out of patterned paper, the cupcake top out of Smooth White card stock and the oblong sprinkles out of Cotton Candy and Pineapple Prestige card stock. I added some shadows on the cupcake top using Copic Markers to add some details.
I added some sparkling clear sequins and white beads inside the shaker pouch and adhered the cupcake top on it.
For the background, I cut several strips of Smooth White, Cotton Candy, Pineapple Prestige card stock and adhered them on my card front, creating a nice colorful background pattern.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment, from the Sugar-Coated Sentiments stamp set, directly on the white panel using Milk Chocolate Hybrid ink and foam mounted it on my striped card front.
My second project highlights the gorgeous products from the MFT March Card Kit, too. Such fun!
To begin, I die-cut the yummy cupcake out of colored card stock using the Cupcake and Sprinkles Die-namics. Since I wanted this card to be festive and colorful, I used rainbow patterned paper for the cupcake base, Smooth White card stock for the top and rainbow colors for the oblong sprinkles. Finally, I used Wild Cherry and Sour Apple card stock for the cherry.
Next, I assembled the cupcake and mounted it on a white card stock panel, which I cut slightly smaller than my square card base.
I heat embossed the sentiment, from the Sugar-Coated Sentiments stamp set, on a strip of Pineapple Prestige card stock and adhered it below the delicious cupcake.
Finally, I adhered some birthday-themed patterned paper on my card front and mounted the main panel on it.
