Today’s project highlights Gracie – a cute resting bird from the new Spread Kindness collection. This card shows how to create a cute design, using only a couple of small stamps.
I started working on this card by stamping Gracie and Nest several times and colored them with Copic Markers – using different tones of brown to create a variety of shades.
Then, I fussy cut all my images and cut each nest’s inner border with my craft knife in order to slip the cute birds into them.
Next, I die-cut the front panel out of white cardstock using the Framed Tags Chelsea Creative Cuts by Mama Elephant and stamped four ink splats on it – exactly where I wanted to place the little birds. I also added a couple of spattered accents to enrich the scene. I used Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxides.
Then, I mounted all my images on the front panel using foam tape for dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the 100% Love stamp set by Waffle Flower with black ink and die-cut it using the coordinating die. Then, I mounted it onto my card near the funny little bird with its nest on his head :)
Finally, I added a couple of sparkling clear sequins here and there as embellishment.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoy today’s project!
Happy crafting and… happy shopping! ;)
