Today I’m back to share a new project I made for the latest MFT Outside the Box Challenge! This month’s challenge theme is “Underwater Adventure”.
Here is my box card for the Challenge, it features the lovely Best Fins stamp set and Die-namics, along with the Thick and Thin Background and the Outside the Box Die-namics.
First of all, I created the box structure. I die-cut the box base out of white card stock, using the dies from the Outside the Box Die-namics, and stamped the Thick and Thin Background on it using Sno Cone Premium Dye ink. Then, I die-cut a window out of the box front, using one of the dies from the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX, that perfectly coordinates.
To complete the box, I die-cut the waves out of Sno Cone and Summer Splash card stock, the sand dunes out of Kraft card stock and the background mat out of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum.
Finally, I carefully assembled the box, inserting all the shelves into it, perfectly spaced, taking advantage of the full depth of the box.
I stamped the cute images from the Best Fins stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers before die-cutting them using the coordinating Die-namics.
I finished off the box card by heat embossing the sentiment in white on a strip of Butterscotch Prestige card stock and mounted it on my project along with all the stamped images to complete the look, creating an adventurous underwater scene! Such fun!
