MFT Release Countdown Day 5

I have a fun easel card to share with you today featuring the sweet TI Cupcake Cutie stamp set and Die-namics. The only thing better than a cupcake is MORE cupcakes, don’t you think? :)

To begin, I stamped the cute cupcake girl and some flowers from the TI Cupcake Cutie stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers before die-cutting them using the matching Die-namics.

Then, I created the easel card structure. Easel cards look like normal cards from the front but, when you open them, they reveal their dimension thanks to a piece inside that allows you to stand them on display like an easel. Such fun!
I started with a regular sized card base and scored the front panel halfway, between the edge of the card stock front panel and my card’s fold line (in this case the folds are at 2 ½” and 5”).
Next, I trimmed a Lemon Chiffon Prestige card stock panel and stamped some flowers on it with Lemon Drop Premium dye ink, achieving a two-tone effect. Then, I mounted it on my card front, right below the middle score line.
I heat embossed the first part of the sentiment in white on a Sour Apple card stock strip and mounted it on my card front. Next, I die-cut a frame out of white card stock using two dies from the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX and mounted it on my easel card, too, putting adhesive only below the score line and leaving the upper part free to move.

I stamped the matching sentiment with Sour Apple dye ink on a white card stock strip, and adhered it on the inside, using some layered card stock strips to create a thick ledge so that the easel will lean against it very easily.

I finished off the card by adding the cute girl and all the flowers on my card front to complete the look!
