Hello friends!
Today I’m sharing a card for the newest MFT Birthday Project Challenge! This awesome monthly challenge features ideas for getting creative with your birthday card making.
This month we’re challenging you to create birthday cards with an interactive component in your design.
Here is my card for the Challenge, featuring the BB Birthday Buds stamp set and Die-namics and the Interactive Up & Down Die-namics:
I love interactive cards, they’re such fun!
I started to work on this card by creating the interactive mechanism hidden behind the card front. I die-cut all the elements from the Interactive Up & Down Die-namics and started to assemble the pieces. I die-cut the pull tab and the “T” shape twice and glued them together to make them extra sturdy (since they are the main parts of the mechanism).
Then, I used a mini brad to connect the pieces and some Spin & Slide Discs to ensure a smooth movement of the mechanism.
Next, I stamped all the cute characters from the BB Birthday Buds stamp set, using Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink, and die-cut them with the matching dies before coloring them with Copic Markers.
I stamped the sentiment directly on the die cut base and adhered a piece of patterned paper, from the Birthday Brights paper pack, on it to create the ground layer.
Finally, I mounted the mechanism on a card base and added the happy characters on my card front, using foam tape to pop some of them up to create dimension.
Now it’s your turn!
Are you ready to play along with us?
