The adorable MFT Sky-High Friends Card Kit is finally here!! YAY!!
My project for today’s Sky-High Friends Card Kit Launch celebration features the amazing Sky-High Friends stamp set and Die-namics.
This pop-up shadow box card was so much fun to make! It folds flat (with normal measures – 4 ¼” x 5 ½”) but pops up immediately when it comes out of the envelope, revealing all the layers and dimensions.
I used Blue Breeze Prestige Card Stock for the front part and white card stock for the back. I cut them to the same size 6 ¼” x 5 ½” and scored them at ½”, 1”, 5 ¾” and 6 ¼”. Then, I folded them at the 1” score line and folded them back over at the ½” score line on both sides (like an accordion fold). I ended up having two identical card stock pieces, in different colors, that will be glued together at their side flaps.
I die-cut a window out of the front layer using one of the dies from the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics set. Then, I die-cut some clouds out of white card stock using the Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics and a rainbow using the Magical Rainbow Die-namics.
Next, I added all the background elements on the card base, both on the front and the back layer to create dimension, and glued the front and the back together.
I stamped and die-cut the cute image from the Sky-High Friends stamp set and colored it with Copics before adding it on my card.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of Coral Crush Prestige card stock and adhered it on my card, too.
