A new Outside the Box challenge is up on the MFT Blog and today I’m back with a new project, inspired by this month’s theme, featuring the So Very Fawned of You stamp set, the Outside the Box Die-namics, the Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics and the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics.
The theme for this month is “Winter”. Here is my box card for the Challenge:
To begin, I created the box structure. I die-cut the box base out of Sno Cone card stock, using the Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics, and the background panel out of white card stock, using the Outside the Box Die-namics. Then, I stamped a beautiful paint-splattered pattern on the background mat – emulating a snowy effect – using the Paint Splatter Background.
Next, I die-cut the snow drift shelves out of white card stock using the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics and carefully assembled the box, inserting all the shelves into the box, perfectly spaced.
I stamped the cute deer and all the foliage elements using Milk Chocolate Hybrid ink and die-cut them using the matching dies before coloring them with Copics. I also die-cut three birch trees out of Primitive Cream, Natural and Kraft card stock and added them on my box card background.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a stitched front panel mat, using Sno Cone Premium Dye ink, and mounted it on my box card along with all the adorable images.
Now it’s your turn!
Are you ready to play along with us?
Box cards are just perfect to create wonderful dimensional scenes! Such fun!
