A new Outside the Box challenge is up on the MFT Blog and today I’m back with a new project, inspired by this month’s theme, featuring the Dashing Deer stamp set, the Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics and the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics.
This month’s challenge theme is “Happy Holidays”, here is my box card for the Challenge:
I started by creating the box structure. Box cards are just perfect to create wonderful dimensional scenes! Such fun!
I die-cut the box base and the background arch out of Red Hot card stock, using the Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics elements, and carefully assembled it. I die-cut a stitched arch panel out of white card stock and ink blended it with blue ink, before mounting it on the background arch.
Next, I die-cut the interior shelves out of white card stock using the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics and inserted them inside the box, equally spaced, creating the perfect rolling hills of snow.
I stamped and colored the cute deer and their friends, from the Dashing Deer stamp set, along with some pretty accent foliage and die-cut them using the matching dies. The trees are from the Christmas Cardinals stamp set.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment using Red Hot Premium Dye ink on the stitched front panel mat of my box card and added all the adorable images on the shelves, creating the perfect winter scene to wish happy holidays to your loved ones!
