AL handmade - My Favorite Things DT - Tropical Flowers stamp set and Die-namics

Hi there! Today I’m back with a new project for MFT May Release Countdown Day 2! :)
Remember that all of the amazing new products will be available on Tuesday, June 4 at 10:00 am EDT.

MFT Release Countdown Day 2

This card features the gorgeous Tropical Flowers stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.
I really love the variety of flowers included in this amazing set! Each flower consists of two to four layers and allows you to easily create beautiful multi-color images, full of depth.

I started to work on this card by die-cutting the gorgeous hello script out of Sour Apple card stock and stamped a striped pattern on it, using one of the stamps from the Distressed Patterns stamp set.

Then, I stamped the flowers and leaves several times and die-cut them with the coordinating dies.
I used Peach Bellini and Lemon Chiffon for the flower’s first layer and Coral Crush and Lemon Drop for the second one. For the leaves, I used Limelight and Sour Apple for the lighter ones and Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green for the darker ones.

Next, I repeatedly stamped the two sprigs of greenery included in the Tropical Flowers set all around a card stock panel in order to emphasize the focal point of the card. I used Grout Gray dye ink for this.

Finally, I heat embossed the second part of the sentiment – from the Well, Hello stamp set – in white on a strip of Coral Crush card stock and mounted all the elements on a card base. I pop some of the flowers up using foam tape and added a curious seagull peeking out from the flowers. Well, I must say that I really love how it turned out! :D
