The wait is over! The amazing MFT Cats & Plants Card Kit is finally here and available for purchase at MFT Store! YAY!
My project for the new Card Kit Launch celebration features the sweet Housecats stamp set and the amazing Window Dressing Die-namics.
To begin, I created the box structure.
I die-cut the box base out of Butterscotch Prestige Card Stock using the Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics. Then, I die-cut the background panel out of white card stock and the shelves out of Chantilly Cream Card Stock using the Outside the Box Die-namics.
Next, I used the Window Dressing Die-namics for the background window, recreating the cozy feeling of a comfy home. I used Chantilly Cream Card Stock for the frame and one of the patterned paper sheets form the Wallpaper Patterns Paper Pad for the curtain panels.
I cut a rectangle in the middle of my background panel using a craft knife (to fit the window) and mounted the window frame on it, adding a vellum layer behind it.
Finally, I carefully assembled the box, inserting all the shelves into it, perfectly spaced.
I stamped the adorable kittens and the beautiful plants from the Housecats stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers before die-cut them using the coordinating dies.
I finished off the box card by stamping the sentiment on a stitched panel and adhered it on my box base along with all the adorable images to finish its look off to perfection.
