The wait is over! The amazing MFT Heart Burst Hellos Card Kit is finally here and available for purchase at MFT Store! YAY!
My project for the new Card Kit Launch celebration features the wonderful Hey Die-namics along with the Heart Burst Hellos stamp set.
To begin, I die-cut the wonderful hand-lettered sentiment from the Hey Die-namics out of a white card stock panel and used the negative to create an eye-catching die cut window.
Next, I cut some strips of colored card stock using the colors included in this amazing Card Kit and adhered them, side by side, on a piece of paper in order to keep them together before mounting them behind the die cut sentiment window. Here I used: Red Hot, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Summer Splash and Grape Jelly card stock.
I added a vellum layer behind the main panel, to mute the rainbow gradient of the background a bit, and mounted it on my striped layer, using foam tape for dimension. Then, I adhered it on a card front, adding a piece of patterned paper in between, slightly rotated, to add extra interest on my card.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of Summer Splash card stock and mounted it on my card front to finish its look off to perfection.
