Hello and welcome to the MFT December Release Countdown Day 4!
All of the amazing new products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, December 14 at 10:00 am EST.
I have a fun easel card to share with you today featuring the sweet Best Dog Friends stamp set and Die-namics :)
To begin, I stamped the adorable bunch of dogs from the Best Dog Friend stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers before die-cutting them using the matching Die-namics.
Then, I created the easel card structure. Easel cards are so cool! They look like normal cards when they’re folded but, when you open them, they reveal their dimension thanks to a thick card stock strip inside that allows you to stand them on display like an easel. Such fun!
I started with a regular sized card base and scored the front panel about halfway between the edge of the front panel and my card’s fold line (in this case the folds are at 2” and 5 ½”).
Next, I used one of the beautiful patterned paper sheets from the Rainbow Love Paper Pad to cover the lower part of my card front, right below the score line.
I heat embossed the first part of the sentiment in white on a Butterscotch Prestige card stock strip and mounted it on my card. Next, I die-cut a stitched circle out of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum using one of the dies from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and added it on my easel card, too, putting adhesive only below the score line in order to leave the upper part free to move.
Then, I stamped the matching sentiment with Butterscotch Premium dye ink on a white card stock strip, and adhered it on the inside, using some layered card stock strips to create a thick ledge so that the easel will lean against it very easily.
I finished off the card by adding the stamped image on my card front to complete the look of this adorable scene!
