I have a fun easel card to share with you today featuring the wonderful Better Together stamp set and Die-namics, combined with the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics and the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.
I started to work on this card by creating the circle easel structure.
Easel cards are really awesome! :D They look like normal cards when folded, but they immediately reveal their dimension when opened, thanks to a thick card stock strip on the inside that allows you to stand them on display like an easel! Such fun!
I created the circular card base using the 4” die from the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics and scored the front panel halfway between the edge and the fold line (at 2”).
Then, I die-cut the front stitched circle out of white card stock, using the 4” die from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and glued it on the lower part of my card front, right below the score line, leaving the upper part free to move.
Next, I die-cut a 3 ½” stitched circle out of patterned paper to create the background and layered it on my front panel. I also die-cut a couple of waves out of Sno Cone and Summer Splash card stock, using the dies included in the Outside the Box Waves Die-namics, and mounted them on my front panel, too.
Then, I stamped the amazing image from the Better Together stamp set, along with the rainbow and some clouds and colored it with Copic Markers after cutting it with the matching Die-namics.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a Candied Yam Prestige card stock strip and mounted it on the inside of my card, creating a thick ledge so that the easel will lean against it very easily. Hope you like it! :)
