I have a fun pop-up shadow box card to share with you today featuring some cute critters from the Better Together stamp set and Die-namics.
This beautiful shadow box card folds flat (with normal measures – 4 ½” x 5 ¾”) but pops up immediately when it comes out of the envelope, revealing all the layers and its dimension. Such fun!
I used Coral Crush Prestige card stock to create the card base (both the front and the back). I cut two panels to the same size 7 ¾” x 4 ½” and scored them at ½”, 1”, 6 ¾”, 7 ¼”, 7 ¾”. Then, I folded them at the 1” score line and folded them back at the ½” score line (like an accordion fold) on both panels. In this way, I ended up having two identical card stock panels.
Next, I die-cut a window out of the front layer using one of the dies from the Elegant Rectangle STAX Die-namics and ink blended some clouds on a white card stock panel – using Berrylicious Premium dye ink and the Rolling Clouds Stencil – to create the background.
I also die-cut some grassy hills out of white card stock using the Grassy Hills Die-namics and ink blended them using Gumdrop Green Premium dye ink.
I added all the background elements on the back layer, adhered a grassy hill on the front layer and glued the front and the back together, at their side flaps.
Finally, I stamped and die-cut the cute images from the Better Together stamp set and colored them with Copics before adding them on my card.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of Pineapple Prestige card stock and adhered it on my card, too.
