CAS Cards

Hello friends! The wait is over! The amazing MFT Magnolia Blossoms Card Kit is finally here and available for purchase at MFT Store! YAY! My project for the new Card Kit Launch celebration features the wonderful Magnolia Blossoms stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. To begin, I stamped the stunning magnolia stem on Watercolor Paper using Extreme Black Hybrid ink and die-cut it using the matching Die-namics. Next, I colored it using my Daniel Smith watercolors (Quinacridone Rose and Quinacridone Pink for the blooms and buds, Sap Green for the leaves and Sepia for the stem). Next, I customize the card base, adding some extra interest to my project. I cut down the card front at 1 ⅛” from the upper crease and glued a Heavyweight Translucent Vellum panel behind it (same size as a card front), previously splattered with white ink. Then, I added another 1 1/8 “ white card stock strip on the lower part of my card front to complete the look. In this way, the central part of the card front will remain translucent with an “airy feel” when the card is open. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of Summer Splash…
